Wat Benchamabophit or the Marble temple is placed at the intersection of Rama V Road and Si Ayutthaya Road. This is the primary temple on the Rattanakosin era, built in 1899. The Marble temple is famous for the fundamental chapel which is decorated with Carrara marble imported from Italy. Inside the building, you will find Phra Buddha Chinnarat Buddha image hosted at the centre of the hall, surrounded through the portray of eight brilliant pagodas in Thailand together with stained glass home windows from Florence.Outside of the building, there's a gallery surrounding the important chapel, gathering the Buddha pictures in many postures from all over Thailand. Sight-seeing along the gallery permits you to see the Thai fashion roof with gold statues, being in harmony with the white appropriate marble.
Wat Benchamabophit is opened every day from 8.00 a.M. To 5.30 p.M. Entrance rate is THB 20. A proper dress code required.
From Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit, you can attain Wat Benchamabophit by means of taking BTS Sky Train from Asok station to Phaya Thai station, and hook up with a taxi immediately to the temple which is ready 2.5 kilometres away.
